Job Description: Grain Plant Attendant Tenney

The Tenney Elevator MN location of Wheaton-Dumont Coop Elevator is seeking a hardworking and dedicated individual to join our team as a Grain Plant Attendant. As a Grain Plant Attendant, you will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of the grain plant, including loading and unloading trucks, operating equipment, and performing general maintenance tasks. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to gain experience in the agriculture industry and develop their skills in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload trucks using a variety of equipment, including augers, conveyors, and grain legs.
  • Ensure that all grain is properly inspected and graded before being loaded or unloaded.
  • Operate machinery such as grain dryers, cleaners, and bins to process and store grain.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
  • Assist with general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Communicate effectively with other team members to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience working in a grain plant or agricultural setting is preferred.
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions closely.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
